COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course was developed in order to increase awareness and provide a conceptual understanding of gender issues in the security sector. It has a particular focus on Peace Support Operations (PSO) and how peacekeepers/PSF should understand women’s needs and their role as actors within the society they are tasked to protect.

COURSE PARTICIPANTS

The Course is designed for NCOs and officers including all services, police and civilians
Up to 50 national and international participants
Participants should have following standards of proficiency in English (as described in STANAG 6001): 2, 2, 2, 2
