The EU Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) Orientation Course as a joint project of Austrian National Defence Academy Vienna (NDA), and PSOTC under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) was successfully completed today by a total of 33 participants from 17 countries. The closing ceremony was augmented by the presence of the Austrian Ambassador to BiH H.E. Dr. Ulrike Hartmann and the PSOTC Commandant Colonel Elvedin Omić. The course aim was to provide participants with a broad understanding of CSDP, and to expose them to the CSDP institutional framework, current policies, as well as structures and processes. Besides PSOTC staff, the course was delivered with great support of guest instructors with tremendous experience. The guest instructors were from distinguished institutions such as:

• The European Security and Defence College
• Spanish Ambassador to Albania, Tirana
• Austrian Military Representation to the EU, and NATO, Brussels
• European External Action Service, Brussels
• Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution, Stadtschlaining
• Director of Directorate for European Integration, the Council of Ministers of BiH, Sarajevo
• International Organization for Migration, Sarajevo
• Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo
• Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Sarajevo
• Netherlands Defence Academy, The Hague

This represents another excellent example of successful cooperation between PSOTC and other distinguished institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond its borders.
