Handbook defines goals and content of peace operation training, and working group has the mission through this format of action to further development of the handbook in accordance with expressed needs pertaining particularly to improvement of interoperability, adjusting and standardizing the training, and promoting of cooperation in the area in training between the NATO and the partnership training centres

Representatives of 14 countries participated on this year’s meeting in Sarajevo and during the plenary part of the meeting discussed the possibility of expanding STANAG 6023 for two new modules: „Youth, Peace and Security “and „Protection of Cultural Properties”. Also, the meeting was used to provide support to participation of international and non-governmental organizations in development of cooperation with NATO in domain of peace support operations training.

Participation of representatives of the Armed Forces BIH in the TEPSO working group, more specifically the participation of PSOTC representatives, enables not only maintaining the compatibility in methodological and content approach to peace support operations training, but also it gives an opportunity for interaction and exchange of experiences with other NATO and partnership centres for training. This ensures an adequate application and maintenance of standards of training within residential courses that are given at the PSOTC.
