Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its largest city, with a population around
300000. PSOTC is placed 11 km from Sarajevo downtown. Arriving to Sarajevo is possible either by
air or by land.
The most convenient way of arriving to Sarajevo and to PSOTC is through the Sarajevo International
Airport (Kurta Schorka 36, 71000 Sarajevo) that is 4.5 km away from PSOTC.
Arriving to Sarajevo by bus is possible through two central bus stations, either in Sarajevo (Put života
8, 71000 Sarajevo) or in East Sarajevo (Srpskih vladara 2, 71123 Lukavica).
Arriving to Sarajevo by train is possible through the central train station (Put života 2, 71000 Sarajevo)
in Sarajevo.
When arriving to Sarajevo in order to be part of the PSOTC’s activities, PSOTC is planning local
transportation to hotels accordingly.
Visa requests are a national responsibility and not that of the PSOTC. Please, refer to the official web
site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning visa requirements for
specific country.
The cost of accommodation depends on place of accommodation (camp or hotel).
PSOTC is providing accommodation for the students at the camp Butmir with single study bedrooms
and common lavatory and showers. All necessary bedding is provided but toiletries and towels are
not provided. The cost is 9 (nine) euros per day/per students.
Booking accommodation outside of the camp Butmir is possible. For convenience, PSOTC advises booking accommodation at Hotel Hollywood, Dr.Mustafe Pintola 23, Sarajevo 71000. The hotel is about 6 km from the camp Butmir. PSOTC will organize daily transportation from/to camp Butmir.
Transportation from other locations will not be provided by PSOTC.
Accommodation at the Camp Butmir is calculated 9 Euros per night. The cost of the hotels outside of
the Camp is on commercial basis. Special rates at above mentioned hotels are possible.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the country rich of cultural, geographical and historical places interesting to
be visited.
PSOTC is regularly organizing touristic tours depending on the length of the courses or requests from
specific groups. Basically, for one-week events PSOTC is organizing daily tour to the places in the
vicinity of PSOTC, mostly to Sarajevo downtown. For events longer than one week, PSOTC is
organizing touristic visits to other places outside of Sarajevo. However, all who participates on
PSOTC’s activities are more than welcome to explore Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina by
themselves.
