Course Description

The course has been developed in order to help raise awareness, sustain change and produce long-term benefits in response to reducing corruption and enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of all military, police, or civilian servants across the relevant national and NATO structures/missions, through the transfer of gained knowledge, tools, and techniques.

Course Aim

The aim of the course is to raise awareness and share practices, tools, and techniques that enable participants of the course to recognize understand and counter various types of corruption which undermine the credibility of an organization and mission success in multinational peace support operations.

Learning objectives

  • Estimate the fundamentals of Building Integrity (BI) and its importance for personal behavior and professionalism;

  • Restate the national/international legal anti-corruption framework as well as NATO anti-corruption efforts in NATO-led operations and missions;

  • Paraphrase corruption risks and integrity challenges in the PSO environment;

  • Estimate the subject of corruption in a personal or functional context in the PSO environment.

Course Participants

  • Up to 40 participants;
  • Military officers (OF-1 – OF-4) and NCOs (OR-6 – OR-9), and police and civilian equivalents;
  • Participants have to have at least 2, 2, 2, 2 of proficiency in English (as prescribed by STANAG 6001) or approximately B2 level in accordance with the Common European Frame (CEFR).

Remarks

This course is based on the resident BI in PSO Course (ePrime: ACT.646; ETOC: BIT-BI-25657). The course is delivered by national and international instructors and subject matter experts.
