Commencement of the UN Military Observers Course (UNMOC) at PSOTC

Today, on May 13, 2024, PSOTC started the delivery of the UN Military Observers Course, which will end on May 31, 2024.

A total of 18 participants from 7 different countries will take part in this course. The countries that are represented on this course are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, North Macedonia, Poland and Turkey. The main objective of the course is to equip military officers with the necessary skills to effectively serve as Military Observers in UN peace operations.  Throughout the course, the participants will undergo three primary areas of the training that are crucial for their successful preparation to effectively participate in the mission. The training areas comprise of Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM), Specialized Training Materials (STM), and Scenario Based Exercise, which are designed to introduce Military Observers to tasks and challenges they will encounter in the mission area. Participants will not only benefit from the experience of the PSOTC training personnel, but also by interacting with guest instructors from Serbia, Finland, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and various units within the Armed Forces
