The Utility of Gender in PSO Courses begins at PSOTC

Today, June 10, 2024, PSOTC launched the NATO-accredited "Utility of Gender in PSO" course, which will run until June 14, 2024.

The aim of the course is to provide participants with a better understanding of how to apply a gender perspective in the security sector, highlight the importance of incorporating this perspective in Peace Support Operations (PSO), and address conflict-related sexual violence. Overall 28 participants from 12 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Colombia, Greece, Italy, Jordan, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Tunisia, and Türkiye attend this interesting and informative course. In addition to the PSOTC staff, the course is supported by instructors from a number of esteemed organisations, including the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, Outreach Group UK, the International Military Operations Training Centre (IMOTC) in Croatia, US Office for Defense Cooperation (ODC) and the Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations (NCGM).
