Lieutenant Colonel Damir Alibašić, the PSOTC Commandant, opened the ceremony with a welcome address to the HSPSOC participants and distinguished guests.

He was followed by Colonel Dr. Čajić, who emphasized the critical role of the Support Command and its training centers in implementing the Human Security training project for AF BIH.

The ceremony concluded with remarks from Major General Ahmić, who stated: “Recognizing the importance of the human security concept, the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have partnered with the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly through its Defense Attaché office, to integrate human security into our military training and doctrine. Together, we have initiated numerous activities aimed at embedding human security considerations at all levels of training.” He also offered personal advice to the course students: “I encourage all of you to engage actively with the instructors, absorb their knowledge and experiences, and contribute your own insights.”

The course is attended by 29 students from AF BiH. Its primary objective is to train key personnel from the AF BiH Light Infantry Battalion Battle Group in applying the Human Security concept in peace support operations at the tactical level.

In addition to the PSOTC staff, the course benefits from the support of the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 11th Outreach Group of the British Armed Forces, UN representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
