The UN Police Officers Course fulfilled its aim, the course standards were met, and all participants gained knowledge that will help them as future peacekeepers. The UNPOC Closing Ceremony was held on October 6, 2023, with the presence of the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Nenad Nešić, UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Ingrid Macdonald, Inspector General, BG Mirsad Ahmić and PSOTC Commandant Colonel Elvedin Omić. Altogether, 21 police officers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Poland successfully finished the course. Besides PSOTC staff and instructors from different police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, instructors from the Sweden, Slovakia and the Slovenia gave their contributions to the course delivery. This course is a great example of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of training and education. The visit of the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Ingrid Macdonald, as her very first visit to PSOTC, was great opportunity to introduce her PSOTC and its cooperation with different UN agencies.
