The Regional Strategic Leadership Course (RSLC) was initiated in the wake of the Western Balkans Defense Summit of September 26, 2018 in Graz, where the defense ministers of Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia met. The regional strategic leadership course has a threefold purpose: Firstly, it aims at bringing together leaders at the strategic level from the fields of public administration, politics, business, and the media to jointly develop strategies to address common challenges to the resilience of the Western Balkans. Secondly, it aims at conveying knowledge in the conduct of strategic decision-making processes in an interactive way. Thirdly, the course shall be an opportunity for the participants to get to know each other, deepen their relationships, and build a network of trust in the region. On behalf ofthe Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, PSOTC hosts the third module, which is also the last module of this course. Altogether, there are 20 participants from 5 countries (Republic of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, and Republic of Serbia) who are participating in the course. On the opening ceremony Secretary General MOD of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Arnold Kammel, and Course Director, Col. Dr. Wolfgang Baumann, addressed the participants. They emphasized the importance of holding such a course and strengthening regional relations, and they wished all participants fruitful work both during the course and in the future.
