The aim of the course is to provide participants with an understanding of applying a gender perspective in the security sector and the importance of the application of gender perspective on peace support operations, as well as on the importance of the prevention of sexual violence in conflict.

This course is attended by 25 participants from 11 countries (ARM, BIH, COL, CRO, GBR, DEU, GRC, JOR, MKD, NLD, and TUN). Besides PSOTC staff, the course is supported by instructors from the US Embassy ODC, UNODC, 11^th Brigade UK, Royal Netherlands Army, EUFOR, and NATO Headquarters Brussels.
